Lafayette students enjoy a wide variety of opportunities from projects to research to study abroad.
Extending education beyond the classroom, these experiences offer close student-faculty interaction, collaboration and teamwork, as well as intellectual growth.

The ability to do independent research with faculty is a hallmark of a Lafayette engineering education. There are a variety of ways that students can get involved. By doing an Honors Thesis as a senior you can earn course credit (2 courses) for your research work - great preparation for graduate school. The College's Excel scholars program also provides funding for you to work with a faculty advisor. In addition, you can earn credit for individual research as an Independent Study project.
